A printable TPU palmrest with unmatched compliance!
Please note that while I'm doing some manual cleanup on these, you may wish to do some further trimming/support removal -- these are not pristine parts.
My long term goal here is a cast rubber part, but I was truly surprised at how good these are -- enough so that I'm considering them as an actual offering long term as we refine the design and figure out how to get the necessary print performance for production.
This is a prototype-for-sale with the primary goal of design feedback -- I'm basically printing these to save you the trouble if you don't have a printer. They're in the self-print repo and print fine in Bambu TPU 95A HF on an X1C or P1S with tree supports.
Normally it's really tough to get any actual compliance out of 95A material, since the forces we work with are so small here, but a unique insight about using slanted ribs produced a really supple feeling and a totally amazing visual appeal! 🐳
